A new twist in Road to the Show
One of the best innovations MLB The Show 25 has added is the ability to get recruited by and play for select college teams in the Road to the Show mode. Usually, previous games would just see you get drafted out of high school, attend the combine, and then start playing in the minors for the team that drafted you. However, MLB The Show 25 is changing up the formula, allowing you to choose to go pro or attend college to get more experience.
While this is great, many players, of course, want to know what college teams are available to play for in MLB The Show 25. You can see every team represented in the guide below.

In total, there are eight teams available to play as if you decide to attend college instead of going to the team that drafted you in Road to the Show. The college teams in MLB The Show 25 are some of the most recognizable schools in NCAA baseball and they're spread out around the country. You can see a list of the teams below:
- Lousiana State Tigers
- Vanderbilt Commodores
- University of California - Los Angeles Bruins
- Tennessee Volunteers
- Cal State Fullerton Titans
- South Carolina Gamecocks
- Texas Longhorns
- Texas Christian University Horned Frogs
As soon as you start Road to the Show and play your first high school game, you'll be approached by one or more of these college teams, depending on your performance. As you continue in high school, more college teams will reach out and make you an offer.
From that point on, you can attend the MLB Combine, get drafted to a team, and then make a decision on going pro or going to college. In most scenarios, it's best to go to college to gain more experience and improve your draft stock.

Playing in college also means you get to play in the College Baseball World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. You'll play through the tournament like any other college team, and if you perform well and win, you can drastically improve your draft position and accelerate your timeline to make it to The Show.
