The robotic monster is on the way in Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals already houses an impressive lineup of characters, made up of both heroes and villains. However, one of the most infamous villains in the Marvel universe is still missing, and fans are wondering when they're going to arrive. Ultron, the main villain from the second Avengers movie, has been confirmed as a character in Marvel Rivals, but the recent arrival of Season 2 didn't see the metallic monster enter the game.
So, just where is Ultron? Was the character scrapped from Marvel Rivals, or is the villain just coming at a later date? You can find out everything you need to know about Ultron and its release date in the guide below.

What is the release date for Ultron in Marvel Rivals?

If you were one of the fans who expected to see Ultron's demonic and shiny face when you booted up Season 2 of Marvel Rivals, don't worry. The villain hasn't been scrapped from the game, and they're still coming. After all, we already know all of Ultron's abilities and even some skins have been leaked for the villain, so it would make no sense for NetEase Games not to bring the character into the game.
However, Ultron's arrival is going to have to wait several more weeks. The release date for Ultron is the Season 2.5 update, which is likely going to be released sometime in late May. We don't have a concrete release date for the update yet, as Season 2 was only just released, but NetEase Games has promised shorter seasons and more content than ever, so you can expect it to be released within the next month or so. If you're likely for a rough estimate, though, the leaked release date of the Season 2.5 update is May 23, 2025.
Whether that release date holds is another story, but Ultron is fully confirmed to arrive with that update whenever it does come out. Until then, you can enjoy all of the initial Season 2 content in Marvel Rivals, such as the hero Emma Frost, who has some particularly interesting skins right off the bat.
