Janna was mentioned by name in Arcane Season 2. Get to know who exactly she is here.
Janna was mentioned by name in Arcane Season 2, but she's been present in the series since the first season. She's definitely a familiar name for League of Legends players, but for those who don't know her yet, here's a quick explanation of who Janna is in Arcane S2.
Janna, The Storm's Fury, Spirit Goddess of the Wind
Janna is an ancient wind spirit, considered the guardian of Zaun. In fact, her real name, Jan'ahrem, is Ancient Shurmina for "Guardian." In modern-day Runeterra, including during the events of Arcane, Janna is more or less a deity in Zaun.
Despite being a spiritual being, Janna is capable of materializing a physical form - a slender, long-eared woman clad in white, the embodiment of winds. She is also known to show her influence through her bird familiar Zephyr.
Her abilities include influence and control of winds and air. Janna's divine powers make her the perfect guardian of Zaun, battling against pollution and the Zaun Gray.
Janna is a playable League of Legends champion, like the main cast. In-game, she is an enchanter support who harnesses the power of the winds to shield and heal her allies and hinder opponents.
Previous Janna appearances in Arcane
Luckily for Janna fans, there are (probably) a lot more Janna murals around. As a major deity of Zaun, she's bound to have a lot of people honoring her image.
We see one during Arcane Season 1 Episode 5. During Vi's parkour bit through Zaun, she passes by a particularly adorned mural of a lady. At first glance, this woman doesn't look anything like Janna's real form.
It would make sense that the people of Zaun do not know what she actually looks like. Janna is a deity, after all. What they do know, however, is Zephyr. The white birds in the mural are our massive hint that this lady is supposed to be Janna.

Inside Jayce's room, there's a poster of a woman with blonde hair and a brown corset. This could also be a depiction of Janna, as the colors line up with her Hextech Janna skin. This one might be a long shot, though. You decide.
She's also referenced in a line from Vi in the first episode of Arcane Season 1! The people of Zaun hold out some belief in her, so when Vi is talking to Powder about her toy hanging from the power lines, she says "I used to come out here at night and stare at it, hoping maybe the wind or a bird might knock it down."

Janna in Arcane Season 2
In the official trailer for Arcane Season 2, a mural of Jinx and Vander was accompanied by white birds. This could be a symbol of freedom, but also a way of showing Jinx that Janna, Zaun's guardian, is with her.
Another mural appeared in Season 2 Episode 2, as Viktor made his way through the slums. This time, we see two people actively worshipping her, perhaps praying for salvation.
Janna was first mentioned by name in Arcane Season 2 Episode 3 when Jinx recalls her childhood with Vi. She mentions a lullaby of Janna, which Vander used to calm his adoptive daughters. In the room where this conversation happened, a large sculpture of Janna can be seen on a wall.
This also ended up being structurally important to the ventilation system surrounding Piltover and Zaun. Unfortunately, both the mural and the wall were destroyed when Sevika unceremoniously blew it up.
