The mysterious fox-eared girl in Planarcadia, Evanescia, is finally becoming playable in an upcoming update! Here’s an early look at Evanescia’s kit, skills, Eidolons, and more.
Evanescia release date
Honkai Star Rail version 4.2 will see the addition of Evanescia to the playable character pool. Since version 4.1 will have a shortened duration of 4 weeks, this patch will go live on April 22, 2026.
Evanescia is expected to be on the second half of the patch, marking her likely entrance on May 13, 2026.
Evanescia kit and skills
Evanescia is a 5-star Physical character on the Path of Elation. She is the second of this archetype, following Yao Guang, the first Elation unit in Honkai Star Rail.
Like all Elation characters, Evanescia’s kit plays around the Certified Banger, Aha Instant, and Punchline mechanics. She is meant to take a DPS role in the party.
Basic ATK – Schoolwork: Surprise Inspection (Single Target)
- Deal minor Physical DMG to one enemy.
Skill – Discipline (Inevitable Judgment (Blast)
- Deal minor Physical DMG to one enemy and adjacent targets.
- Gain 5 Punchline.
Ultimate – Swordsong: Hew Gods, Slay Devils (AoE)
- Deal Physical Elation DMG to all enemies, then extra instances of DMG to one random enemy.
Talent – Youth: Timeless Radiance (Enhance)
- Gain Elation based on CRIT DMG.
- Gain Certified Banger based on gained Energy
- Gain Energy based on Certified Banger
- When Evanescia has Certified Banger:
- Using Basic ATK or Skill deals Physical Elation DMG.
Technique – Martyred: Memory of the Lost
- Attack all enemies within range. At the start of each wave, deal Physical DMG to all enemies and gain Certified Banger stacks.
Elation Skill – Scarlet: Sombre Rend (AoE)
- Deal Physical Elation DMG to all enemies and gain Certified Banger stacks.
Evanescia Major Traces
- Shared Exultation
- Increase CRIT Rate.
- Ultimate bounce count increases the fewer enemies are on the field.
- When teammates with Elation Skill Participation ID lower than Evanescia’s gain Certified Banger, she gains half of it into her own Certified Banger.
- Fulfilled Adjudication – Fox Teacher inflicts Vulnerability on the target
- Unending Resolve – When a teammate’s Certified Banger ends, Evanescia converts half into her own Certified Banger.
Evanescia Eidolons
1 – Homeland, Dance in Prayer
- Increases All-Type PEN by 20%. After Fox Teacher uses an attack, triggers 1 additional Elation Skill. Elation Skill grants this unit 10 additional Certified Banger point(s).
2 – Journey, Wish for Everbloom
- Increases Elation by 25%. The Vulnerability effect of the Trace Fulfilled Adjudication can stack, up to 2 stacks.
3 – Blade, Devour the Red Moon’s Bane
- Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
- Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
- Elation Skill Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
4 – Meadow, Despoiled by Evil
- Evanescia’s DMG dealt ignores 15% of the enemy target’s DEF.
5 – Arcadia, Witness Emotions Converge
- Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
- Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
- Elation Skill Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
6 – Maiden, Dreaming in Vicissitude
- Elation DMG dealt by Evanescia merrymakes by 25%. When teammates whose Participant ID is lower than Evanescia’s gain “Certified Banger” or when ally teammates’ “Certified Banger” expires, Evanescia additionally gains 50% of it as her own “Certified Banger.” After using her Ultimate for the first time upon entering combat, Evanescia regenerates 120 Energy. This effect can trigger 1 time for every 4 Ultimates used.
