Don’t gamble on your resources, just get everything you need.
Aventurine is one of the biggest names coming to Honkai: Star Rail in version 2.1, and there’s not much time left to farm up his Ascension materials. The gambler’s release date is Apr. 10, which leaves just a few weeks to get everything you can. Taking a brand new character up to level 80 is no small task, but we can make it as easy as possible.
If you’re stocking up Stellar Jade to get Aventurine, here are all the Ascension materials you’ll need to get him to the high roller’s table.
Boss items to farm
- Shards of Desires
- Fragments of Impression
- Tatters of Thought
- Past Evils of the Borehole Planet Disaster
The first three materials will be added to Honkai: Star Rail in update 2.1 on Mar. 26. The only materials that players can immediately farm are Past Evils of the Borehold Planet Disaster, which are available in the Seclusion Zone. Players can farm the When the Stars of Ingenuity Shine Echo of War to grind out Past Evils of the Borehold Planet Disaster.
Starcrusher Swarm King: Skaracabaz isn't exactly the easiest boss, but players only need 12 to bring Aventurine up to max level. Players will have to complete the mission When the Stars of Ingenuity Shine to farm the fight in the Echo of War.

Some of Aventurine’s Ascension and Trace materials may look unfamiliar, but that’s understandable. He will require many new materials to be added in the 2.1 update. These will be acquired from a variety of new fights in Clock Studios Theme Park and Dewlight Pavilion. We’ve also included the materials needed to power up Traces, which you may already have a decent stock of.
Keep in mind that this material list is based on unofficial information from leaks. Hoyoverse could change Aventurine’s materials before his official release on Apr. 10.
