Cards are the center of the show in the Festival of Legends Hearthstone expansion. Let’s go over what mechanics they bring.
The new Hearthstone expansion, Festival of Legends, brings a plethora of artists and genres, with them new minions, spells and mechanics. With so many things going on, it's natural to be stunned. That's why today we are breaking down the known Festival of Legends cards and new mechanics.
New Hearthstone mechanics
The first expansion for 2023 aims to cover every genre, from music to play style. With puns that are off the charts, it promises to be a surrounding experience. In the Festival of Legends expansions, every class represents a musical genre, but things don't stop there, Hearthstone fans will enjoy many music-themed mechanics too!
Each expansion brings a new Keyword and some themed mechanics, and Festival of Legends is no exception. We have already explained Finale and Overheal in specific articles, so feel free to check those out before the show starts. On top of those Keywords, unique Legendary minions and spells will be joining the Festival of Legends Hearthstone expansion introducing new mechanics. Let's start with what Legendary cards will represent.
Festival of Legends Hearthstone Legendaries
Every show has its headliners, and they at the same time have their hit songs as well. In the Festival of Legends expansion, they will be represented by Hearthstone Legendary cards.
There will be 11 musicians in the form of Legendary class cards. They will represent the class genre and their identity too. Content creators are revealing Festival of Legends cards, their mechanics and synergies, daily. We will be updating this post frequently. These are the already-revealed Legendary Musicians.
As we've said, every crowd has a favorite song, and in the Festival of Legends Hearthstone expansion, they are showcased with Legendary Spells. These Legendary spells have game-changing effects that go hand in hand with each class and its identity.
As a caveat, these Legendary spells from the Festival of Legends Hearthstone expansion carry a secret. If you look closely, you will notice that each spell includes its band logo.

Festival of Legends Instruments
What would be a musician without an instrument? In the Festival of Legends Hearthstone expansion, instruments are represented by Weapons. While this time they are not Legendary like in Kobolds and Catacombs expansion, they come with a twist.
Festival of Legends instrument weapons are upgradable with strong Deathrattle effects. Much like any instrument, you need to learn how to fine-tune them. Each weapon has different requirements to upgrade so have that in mind when building your deck.
Festival of Legends Fans
Last but not least, we have the Fans. Shows and artists would be nothing without fans. In the Festival of Legends, fans aren't legendaries, but that does not mean they are less important. Fans come in numbers, so it wouldn't make sense for them to be one per deck.
Like in every show, Fans influence those around them. In the Festival of Legends Hearthstone expansion, Fans have Battlecries that affect other minions, with effects that stay as long as the Fan is on the board.
By now we've gone over the most important Hearthstone mechanics, Legendary minions and spells for the upcoming Festival of Legends expansion. I hope you are as excited about these new mechanics as we are.
