Borderlands 4 offers a host of rewards through Twitch Drops, so here’s how to earn them.

The release of Borderlands 4 is nearly upon us, and while you'll have plenty of chances to fill up your inventory with loot during the course of the game, you can also add some exclusive loot to your arsenal. This loot comes in the form of Twitch Drops, which are rewards you can receive in Borderlands 4 for simply watching your favorite streamer play the game.

There are several Twitch Drops rewards up for grabs in Borderlands 4, but you first need to know what you have to do in order to earn them. This not only involves tuning into specific streams on Twitch, but you'll also have to link some of your accounts to one another.

You can see the entire process of earning Twitch Drops in Borderlands 4 in the guide below.

To score a Twitch Drop for your account in Borderlands 4, all you have to do is watch a streamer playing the game on Twitch. However, this streamer needs to have "Drops Enabled" on their channel. If they don't, your watch time won't count towards the Twitch Drop.

Once you find a streamer that has Drops Enabled, all you have to do is watch for a total of 30 minutes, and you'll receive a notification on Twitch that says you have a reward ready to claim. You can view that notification by clicking the mailbox icon at the top-left corner of the Twitch screen.

When you're ready to claim your Twitch Drops in Borderlands 4, you won't be able to until you have successfully linked your Twitch and SHiFT accounts. SHiFT is essentially your account for Borderlands, and they're free to create.

Below, you can see the step-by-step process to link these accounts together:

  • Go to the SHiFT website and log in with an exisiting account or create a new one
  • You can also choose to sign in to SHiFT using your preferred platform (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, etc.)
  • Once you're logged in to your account, go to your Account page and click on "Gaming Platforms" from the left-side menu
  • Here, find the Twitch box and sign into your Twitch account
  • This links the two accounts together, and you can check that it's done this successfully by going to your Connections page on Twitch and searching for "SHiFT Website"
  • You can now claim your Twitch Drop in Borderlands 4 after watching 30 minutes of a Drops Enabled stream

There have been some reported issues with users not being able to claim their drop even though their accounts are linked, so you might have to wait for an update before any of those issues are resolved.

With all of that covered, what are the rewards you're putting in this work for? Currently, there's only one Twitch Drop reward up for grabs in Borderlands 4. As we previously said, it only requires you to watch 30 minutes of a Drops Enabled stream to claim. The reward is:

  • Twitch ECHO-4 Drone Skin

You can see what this skin looks like in the image above. As time goes on, more and more Twitch Drops should be put up for grabs, which will require varying amounts of watch time. For now, though, the ECHO-4 skin is the only Twitch Drop you can earn in Borderlands 4.
