Additionally, giving a villager their favorite gift increases your Friendship points with them by 80 for loved items and 45 for liked items. You can only gift everyone in the town once per day, and if you manage to give someone their favorite gift on their birthday, the Friendship points you’ll receive will get an 8x multiplier.

Marriageable persons may stop gaining Friendship points once they get eight hearts, and they can only continue having more points by giving them a bouquet.

Apart from favorite gifts, you can also increase Friendship points in Stardew Valley by offering Universal gifts. There are different types of Universal gifts in the game, with Universal loves and Universal likes being the most useful for gaining Friendship points.
