Who wants to pass up some free rewards in Borderlands 4?
Borderlands 4 has finally been released, and it's time to adventure through the famed looter shooter series once again. While there's absolutely no shortage of loot in Borderlands 4, you can earn exclusive loot and other items by utilizing SHiFT Codes.
SHiFT Codes have been a part of the Borderlands franchise for years, and they're essentially free codes that you can use to redeem free rewards in the current game. The rewards often contain Golden Keys, which you can use to open special loot chests in Borderlands 4 to acquire ultra-rare weapons.
However, SHiFT Codes need to be redeemed quickly, and it can be difficult to know exactly what codes are currently active. To see all the active SHiFT Codes in Borderlands 4, what reward each code offers, and how to redeem them, check out the guide below.
All SHiFT Codes in Borderlands 4
As Borderlands 4 was just launched, there won't be too many SHiFT Codes available. You can follow the game's official social media account to stay up to date on any new codes or when they will expire.
For now, you can see all of the active codes in Borderlands 4 below:
- T9RJB-BFKRR-3RBTW-B33TB-KCZB9 - 1x Golden Key (Expires on Sept. 30)
As you can see, there's only one SHiFT Code currently active following the game's release. As time goes on, more codes will be available to redeem. If you want to redeem the current SHiFT Code, make sure to do so by Sept. 30, as that's when it expires.

How to redeem SHiFT Codes in Borderlands 4
In order to redeem one of the active SHiFT Codes, you'll have to head to the official SHiFT website for Borderlands 4 and sign into an exisiting account or create a new one. You can find the step-by-step process to redeem a code below:
- Go to the SHiFT website and sign in to your account. You need to make sure this account is either linked with your platform's account if you have already created an account previously.
- When you're logged into your account, go to the "Gaming Platforms" tab on the left-side menu and ensure your Borderlands 4 platform is linked to the SHiFT account.
- If your accounts are linked, then press on "Link" on the box with your preferred platform, sign in to that account, and then your accounts will be linked together
- Once your accounts are linked, go to the "Rewards" tab on the left-side menu and find the SHiFT Code text box
- Enter your active SHiFT Code into the text box and press "Check"
- If your code is correct and active, the rewards from that code will automatically be added to whatever account you have linked
And that's all there is to redeeming your SHiFT Codes. Once you redeem one, you can head back into Borderlands 4 and find whatever reward you earned in your inventory. If you redeemed a Golden Key, you have to find the special chest that is opened with the key.
