Where is Snake in Fortnite?

Solid Snake is now available for all players to unlock as of the recent Fortnite v28.10 update. Alongside all of the Metal Gear Solid cosmetics, Fortnite has added a Cardboard Box and EMP Stealth Camo item to celebrate the latest Video Game Legends collaboration. As if that wasn't enough, players can visit Solid Snake, where he exists as a non-player character (NPC). This guide explains where to find Snake in Fortnite.

Those looking to visit the Metal Gear Solid protagonist can head to the northernmost island marked on the map above, named Piney Lane. From a loot standpoint, you won't find much in this landmark, but you will find Solid Snake offering a pair of items and a service. The island features many trees, Slurp Barrels, and a few Chests.

Upon encountering Solid Snake at the Piney Lane landmark in Fortnite, he will not attack unless attacked first. If you engage him in combat, he is relatively easy to take out and will drop a Rifle for your troubles. However, if you speak with him, there are three options available:

The EMP Stealth Camo grants invisibility, but the effect will disappear after firing your weapon or swapping weapons. As for the Cardboard Box...it's exactly what you expect from a Cardboard Box. Anyone familiar with the Metal Gear Solid series should recognize this iconic item. Hiring Solid Snake adds him to your Fortnite squad, and he will defend you until an opponent eliminates him.

Solid Snake should remain in the game for the remainder of Chapter 5 Season 1, but Epic Games has not confirmed that yet, so we will have to wait and see.
