Here is how you can unlock the Competitor’s Skyblades Glider before it’s too late.

Fortnite's new Competitor's Skyblades Glider has drawn attention from the community for its unique appearance. However, players can only obtain this cosmetic item by competing in the series of Ranked Cups and earning a certain amount of points. Today, we'll explain how you can unlock the Fortnite Competitor's Skyblades Glider and give some tips on how to make the process easy.

How to unlock the Fortnite Competitor's Skyblades and Time Brella Glider

Epic Games has incentivized the new Fortnite OG Ranked Cups by handing out the two Gliders displayed above to players who reach a specific points threshold. To keep it simple, you must compete in one of the Ranked Cups and earn at least 75 points within three hours or the 10-match limit.

The Ranked Cups point system is generous to players, so reaching 75 points should be relatively easy if you adopt the appropriate strategy, which we will cover later. Some of the Fortnite Ranked Cups have already happened, so your last chance to unlock the Competitor's Skyblades Glider is November 12.

Here is the remaining schedule for all Fortnite Ranked Cups in the OG Season. Remember, you can only unlock the Competitor's Skyblades in Fortnite Ranked Cup tournaments marked Session 1, and you will earn the Time Brella in those marked Session 2:

There are eight styles for the Competitor's Skyblades and Time Brella Gliders, but you can only acquire the one that reflects your rank in Fortnite's Ranked Mode. As a result, Bronze players can only unlock the Bronze style for both Gliders.

How do the Ranked Cups work?

Fortnite Ranked Cups offer two game modes: Battle Royale and Zero Build under Solo, Duos, and Squads. For Solo, you can play by yourself and try to earn the 75 points required for the Gliders. Duos and Squads allow you to team up with a group of random players using the 'Fill' option, or you could play alone by turning it off.

Before you can compete, you must ensure that you have applied two-factor authentication (2FA) settings to your Epic Games account. Additionally, you can only compete in the tournament that reflects your rank in Ranked Mode.

That means if you are in the Bronze Division, you can only compete in the Bronze Ranked Cups and not in anything higher. Now that you understand the Ranked Cups, we'll explain some strategies to obtain 75 points in the tournament.

Strategies you can use to acquire the Competitor's Skyblades and Time Brella Glider

We earned 124 points in three Ranked Cup matches, and here is how we did it:

  1. Land at an unpopular spot on the Fortnite OG map, preferably an unnamed location.
  2. Gather your weapons and healing items, and add as many Rifts as possible into your inventory.
  3. Stay ahead of the Storm Circle and try to avoid fighting other players.
  4. If you get into trouble or need to rotate quickly, use your Rifts and fly far away from your opponents.
  5. You will steadily rack up placement points if you stay out of sight.
  6. Repeat this process through all ten matches; you should reach 75 points.

This strategy will benefit lesser-experienced players and those unfamiliar with tournaments. If you are more confident in your Battle Royale or Zero Build abilities, there should be no trouble racking up 75 points.
