The fan-favorite "Floor is Lava" Fortnite limited-time mode (LTM) has returned triumphantly following the v29.01 update. This game mode, which first debuted in Chapter 1 Season 8, progressively raises the lava beginning five minutes into the match. Chaos unfolds shortly after that, as players eliminate each other while building upwards until only one team remains. How to play Floor is Lava in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
Players can head to the "Play" tab in Fortnite's main lobby to play the LTM. Once there, scroll down until you locate the "By Epic" category. This section includes the more popular game modes, such as Battle Royale, Zero Build, Party Royale, Team Rumble, and more.
You can also find the Floor is Lava Fortnite LTM in this category. After you find it, click on the game mode followed by "Select." This action will return you to the lobby, where you can choose whether to queue into the game mode by yourself, with friends, or with random teammates. Make sure you turn on "Fill" if you would like to join a group of random players.
