How to get the Zapotron in Fortnite OG

Weeks of teasers and leaks have finally led up to the long-awaited return of Fortnite's Zapotron. This weapon arrived briefly during the Chapter 1 Pre-Season for just 30 minutes. Only a handful of players were able to use it before Epic Games removed it from the game.

Seven years later, the Zapotron is back for a limited time in Fortnite OG. Here's how you can get it and what to expect!

The Zapotron is back in Fortnite OG game modes for this weekend only. Thankfully, it was not difficult for us to find, so it shouldn't trouble you. After landing in a standard Fortnite OG match, we found the Zapotron after looting roughly five chests.

While we were lucky, it's worth mentioning that you will have a higher chance to loot the weapon from a Supply Drop. Epic Games recently increased the spawn rate of Supply Drops in Fortnite OG to allow players to find the Zapotron more frequently.

Overall, we had little trouble locating the weapon. Our best advice is to land away from enemy players and loot as many Chests as possible. If that doesn't work, rotate to Supply Drops and try your luck there.

This is a charge-based weapon, like the Rail Gun. However, you can either fully charge it before firing or shoot in short bursts. It utilizes Heavy Bullets and can eliminate an opponent in one fully charged blast. Although that requires incredible accuracy, it is achievable.
