The Honkai: Star Rail collab has arrived in Fortnite, and you can unlock the Blade skin for free. Here’s how that works!
The highly anticipated Fortnite x Honkai: Star Rail collaboration has finally arrived. Characters Kafka and Blade are now available in the Item Shop until March 5, at which point they'll leave for an unknown amount of time. However, if you're short on V-Bucks and you still want the Blade Fortnite Outfit, here is how to get it for free.
How to get Blade for free in Fortnite
- Navigate to the Epic Games Store or Epic Games Launcher
- Locate Honkai: Star Rail and download it for free
- Create an account if you don't have one already
- Make a qualifying Honkai: Star Rail-related purchase
- If done successfully, you will unlock the Blade Outfit in Fortnite for free

You can purchase Oneiric Shards for as low as $14.99 USD, which is slightly lower than what you would pay for the skin itself. However, for those willing to give Honkai: Star Rail a fair chance, you can play until you unlock the ability to purchase The Nameless Glory, which is the game's Battle Pass equivalent.
That will cost you $9.99, making it the best value if you're looking to get the Blade Outfit at a cheaper cost. Once you have completed those steps, you should see a pop-up indicating that you unlocked the Blade Outfit for free the next time you open Fortnite.
While it's technically not free, since you have to spend currency in Honkai: Star Rail, it's cheaper than the cost of the V-Bucks required to buy the skin in-game.
