Cold in LEGO Fortnite: How to avoid freezing to death

In LEGO Fortnite, there’s nothing more frustrating than getting that annoying “You Are Cold” message, so what can you do about it? Well luckily there’s a few ways to stay warm in the game, and survive the cold. Here’s how to avoid freezing to death in LEGO Fortnite:

The easiest way to stay warm is to stay inside when it's raining and windy, and at night. The temperature falls during the night, and weather such as snow and rain can make it even colder. The other way to stay warm is to use various items and special structures to keep warm. 

Campfires (unsurprisingly) and Torches are the primary ways to stay warm in the early game. These items are easily craftable using just wood. You can even take torches with you if you’re journeying out in the cold, and keep it equipped to keep you warm. You can also create a warm trail of torches by throwing them, giving you a warm path to keep you from freezing.

Spicy Peppers are a item found in Dry Valleys. They grow on bushes like Raspberries or other crops. Eating one will give you two minutes of increased Cold Resistance, meaning you can stay cold for longer without dying.

Once you've found the Spicy Pepper, you'll be able to make the Spicy Burger, a Rare food item. This will reduce hunger by 10, increase Cold Resistance for a massive 10 minutes (!) and give you excess health. It's one of the best foods in the game and a definitive way to reduce cold

To make a Spicy Burger, you'll need a Grill, one Flour, one Meat, and one Spicy Pepper. To get Flour, you'll need to have a Grain Mill and process Wheat Seeds into Flour.

If you’re really struggling with the heat and temperature mechanics, you can just turn them off when you create the world. You unfortunately can’t do this once the world has been made, but if you want to save your world, and not play with temperature, simply remember to write down your seed, enter the seed when you create a new world, and turn off the temperature mechanics!
