The 2XKO roster consists of League of Legends champions. They bring their original look and general archetype to the fighting matches. Choosing who to play in 2XKO is important, as it directly affects your fighting style and team composition.

Here, we list all of the 2XKO champions and briefly describe their abilities as fighting game characters.

  • Illaoi
  • Ekko

These characters have been officially confirmed by the 2XKO developers:

Fighting abilities of 2XKO characters

2XKO is a tag-team 2v2 fighting game. This means, players should build a team of two characters: point and assist. The general rules here dictate placing a champion with good meter-less moves on point. They can be dependent on assists to cover their offensive actions or to get some additional defense. Assist characters are good on their own without help from their teammates. However, they are usually meter-dependent.

While team building in 2XKO is still a deep topic to explore, we can highlight the fighting abilities and archetypes of the Alpha Lab champions.

Illaoi

In 2XKO, Illaoi combines big damaging moves and screen control with her spirit tentacles. Both of these features should work together for the best effect.

The neutrals of Illaoi are straightforward. She hits hard, and when that lands, she deals a lot of damage. The speed is a problem here, however. Illaoi is a big champion and her movements are slower than some opponents. Her starting frames are big, so Illaoi needs to create situations to open opponents up.

The tentacles do this. You need to place them all over the stage and mix things up with their help. Also, the tentacles can be used to increase damage with Illaoi combos in 2XKO.

Ekko

Ekko is a quick character with a variety of tools to control the fight. 2XKO Ekko has a lot from the rushdown archetype, but to be really effective with him, you need to create proper situations. For example, use his projectiles to force the jump from your opponent and then attack them in the air.

Proper setups are essential for mixups and long combos. At the same time, playing Ekko in 2XKO is fun and satisfying even without long hours in the lab.

This character is especially notable for his quick ground movement, and this feature should be used in the matches.

Darius

He is a simple but decently effective 2XKO character. Darius has far-reaching normals to be dangerous at the mid range and punish whiffs. His moves easily link into each other, so even if you don’t train a lot, you can do cool stuff with Darius. His damage is also good, especially with the wound mechanic that activates chip damage on block.

Darius in 2XKO is great for beginners, but he also has potential for skills scaling.

Braum

Just look at Braum to understand how to play him. He is huge, and his moves are of the same sort — big, damaging, and somewhat slow. Yes, Braum has a command grab.

Still, the game plan with this 2XKO character requires a good understanding of his biggest downside: slow moves and hits. Braum should try to keep a distance, using his protective shield and freezing projectiles for this. Then he needs to punish whiffs with far-reaching hits.

The shield is a great team feature for Braum. At the same time, he benefits from quick teammates to open his opponents up and let him continue with high damage.

Ahri

This 2XKO character specializes in airplay. Ahri has forward and backward air dashes. Her air normals can be canceled into dashes or air specials.

Ahri is a quick character with good pressure tools. As a rushdown, she should be active from the very beginning and try not to give her opponents any chance to respond. Long air combos and tricky mixups are the bread and butter for 2XKO Ahri. The price for this is relatively low damage from her hits.

Yasuo

Yasuo is a technical fighting character that gives players a good variety of options. His normals are far-reaching and can be linked into each other in different ways — it is great for blockstrings and combos. He has unique moves to deal with projectiles to be safe at a distance and wait for a good moment to start pressuring.

The movement of Yasuo in 2XKO is quick, helping him to reach opponents and avoid hits. His combo game is versatile, but requires a good understanding of the basic tools. You need some time in training to play Yasuo with effectiveness.
