The new upcoming Dark Matter series takes the concept of multiple realities and scrambles them around to give viewers what could be one of the best TV experiences of 2024.

Here is everything we know about the upcoming Apple TV+ series, Dark Matter.

As of now, there is zero footage that has been released for the Dark Matter series. While the show may not have a trailer yet, it does have some still-shot images on IMDB.

From the images, we can see the show has a very dark, true-crime feel to it. There is also a mix of sci-fi elements and more. For now, anticipating fans will have to wait a little longer for a trailer to release.

Release Date

The first episode of Dark Matter is set to premiere on May 8, 2024, on Apple TV+. With only nine episodes in the first season, the show will run throughout the first half of the summer.

Although little information is available about the show, we know that it will release episodes daily on the Apple platform. Those wanting to watch it will have to pay the Apple TV+ monthly fee.

Apple TV+ monthly fee:

  • $9.99 USD

Whether you grab the subscriptions just for the Dark Matter series or not, there are many other good shows available to watch on the popular streaming platform.

So what exactly is Dark Matter about? While we don't have a plethora of information on the series, we do have a general idea of what the plot is.

The show follows a man who is somehow transcended into a different reality, that while it is similar to his own, is not the same. Stuck in a world where nothing is exactly like his own, with a different family, house and more, the protagonist has to find a way back to his own reality.

Not only, though, is he fighting against different universes, trying to travel home, but the main character also has an interesting antagonist to go up against: himself.
