A quick summary on all the new and best Dota 2 warding spots to get you ahead of the game in this new patch.

With a much more expansive map and a lot of new elements, players, both old and new, will surely face some confusion. More importantly, support players are likely to find themselves in a daze on where to place wards. Worry not as we have got this covered for you. Below is a guide on the new and best Dota 2 warding spots.

The latest and obvious ward locations across the map

The following new locations provide excellent vision. However, they are not the most discreet. Be prepared for an easy de-ward by your enemies should you chose to place your wards there.

In the jungle

In the middle of the Radiant jungle south of Outpost
Deep ward placement to the left of Dire tier two tower

On the side lanes

Some peculiar ward placements

With how massive the map is on patch 7.33, there are plenty of new locations for strategic ward placements. The following are potential locations you can take advantage of that are untested and not the most obvious.

Old well below Radiant safe lane

This is an old well located directly south of Radiant tier two tower. It is probably the least effective location in the list given how little vision it provides. As you can see from the picture above, this spot does not even reveal the ancient creep above it.

Bunker above Dire safe lane

This location is the Dire counterpart of the Radiant old well. It is a grade above because this location offers a clear vision over the neutral creep camp. It also appears as an elegantly gated bunker as opposed to a dusty old well. Is this Ice Frog favoring the Dire once again?

Warding the Twin Gates

You can also place your ward right next to the Twin Gates, which will give you clear vision over players teleporting to outposts or making movements toward either Roshan Pits. Although, this would be another obvious location prone to de-warding. Remember! Outposts no longer provide true sight and will not reveal wards.

Warding the Lotus Pools

Lotus Pool will most definitely be a key location where teams will clash on. Interestingly, you can put a ward right on top of the pool. The pool itself is visible to all players on either teams. However, this ward placement will provide vision on players who will try to make a move toward and harvest from the pool, giving you some time to retaliate.

Apart from the aforementioned locations, there will be plenty of other locations viable for effective warding that are currently unexplored. Soon, a more concrete Dota 2 warding spots standards will be formed throughout the rest of DreamLeague, Dota Pro Circuit as well as the upcoming Berlin Major.
