The International 2025 is quickly approaching, with eight teams directly invited and another eight coming through qualifiers.
Hype for The International (TI) 2025 is starting to build, as Valve has released the list of teams directly invited to the event. So far, in 2025, we have seen quite a few different teams rise to the pinnacle of Dota 2. All of these, and a few more, have been confirmed as teams that we will see attending TI in September 2025.
With that in mind, we break down which teams have been invited to TI 2025, as well as the Regional Qualifiers.
All direct invites to TI 2025
The International 2025 is set to feature a total of 16 teams. During last year's TI, a total of six teams received a direct invite. This year, the number has increased, as eight teams secured their spot at the prestigious event. As a result, these teams will set the stage for TI to return to Germany – the place where it all began back in 2011.
Not only does the list of direct invites include the winners of 2025 tournaments, but it also features teams that have consistently shown great promise. Furthermore, according to an official statement from Valve, these squads were chosen because they have "risen above the rest." As a result of winning tournaments or simply outshining their opponents, these eight teams will feature at TI 2025.
- Team Liquid
- PARIVISION
- BB Team (BetBoom Team)
- Team TideBound (now All Gamers Global)
- Gaimin Gladiators
- Team Spirit
- Team Falcons
- Tundra Esports
Most of the teams receiving the direct invite to TI 2025 seem obvious. Liquid and Tundra have had a great start to 2025. With Falcons, their invite comes on the back of a few grand finals and their wins following TI 2024. While GG has been seen in a few finals, too, Spirit, BB, and PARIVISION all secured wins in separate tournaments this year. Tidebound (or AG Global) seems the odd one out. However, considering Valve’s statement, the Chinese team has shown resilience in recent tournaments to secure a direct invite.
