Pinging on the map is a great way to get your teammates’ attention to the map.

Deadlock is Valve’s newest game and even though it is not yet released, the game has garnered a loyal player base. It is a third-person shooter game with characteristics of a MOBA. It has lanes, it has troopers (creeps), it has jungle creeps, and more. There’s everything you know about MOBAs but in a different format, an FPS format. Minimaps are extremely important in a MOBA and it is equally important to use it to disseminate information. Here’s how to ping on the minimap in Deadlock.

How to Ping on the Minimap in Deadlock

The Minimap is available on the bottom right corner of the screen. The minimap clearly denotes four different lanes, each with a different color. With various symbols scattered across the minimap, it can get a bit confusing. But if you want to draw your teammate's attention, then you will need to ping on the minimap.

There are two different ways to ping on the Deadlock minimap:

  1. Draw on the minimap
  2. Ping on the Minimap

How to Draw on Deadlock Minimap?

To draw on the Deadlock minimap, first click the Left Alt button. Then click Mouse Left button and you can draw on the minimap. Deadlock players should not abuse this feature and only use it to denote pathways they want teammates to follow.

How to Ping on the Map in Deadlock?

You can follow a very similar pattern to ping on the minimap in Deadlock. Press Down the Left Alt Button and then right-click on the mouse at the location you want to ping. You and your teammates will see a small round circle highlight at that particular location. This will draw your teammates’ attention to that area of the map. Use this feature only if you want to draw their attention and are calling for help.
