Your inventory can fill up quite quickly in Crimson Desert, so how can you store those items?

Throughout the early game in Crimson Desert, you’ll find no shortage of various items to add to your inventory. Whether it’s junk that you’re planning to sell later or valuable weapons and armor that you’re storing for a specific build, your inventory will quickly fill up just a few hours into the action-adventure game. While this isn’t a huge issue during the early game, at some point, you’re going to want to store all of your unneeded items in Crimson Desert.

However, there are no tutorials about how to store your inventory items, so where do you go to unload everything?

Can you store inventory items in Crimson Desert?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, there is no possible way to store any of your inventory items in Crimson Desert. Even though you have a settlement that you build from the ground up and can expand, there’s currently no buildable chest or other object that allows you to store items. Nowhere else in the game offers this service either; although, there is an in-game bank where you can transfer gold and save it for later.

While this will certainly make inventory management confusing in Crimson Desert, a fix is coming. Game reviewers have stated that the developers at Pearl Abyss have heard the feedback about storing items loud and clear. Apparently, a fix for the problem is coming soon in Crimson Desert, presumably shortly after launch on March 19. We’re not sure what this fix will entail, but you can expect some sort of system that allows you to transfer items from your inventory into some kind of chest or storage facility.

If you’re playing Crimson Desert at launch without any kind of inventory storage system, then we recommend selling a majority of your inventory items to a shop in one of the various towns. While you might want to hold on to gear and weapons until you’re sure you don’t need them, junk items and bulk resources can safely be sold, especially if you want additional room to store more important items.

Of course, you can also resist the urge to pick up anything you deem as unvaluable, as inventory management plays a key role in the entirety of Crimson Desert. This might be difficult given how many items you can find in Crimson Desert, but there is a drop function that allows you to quickly get rid of any unwanted items as well.

So, for the time being, you should be able to manage your inventory well enough until the developers add a way to store items in Crimson Desert.
