You can acquire a horse and a slew of other mounts in Crimson Desert, but how do you actually summon them?
Within the first hour of playing Crimson Desert, you’ll already have a mount in the form of Herspia, a horse. Herspia is given to you for free by Sebastian, and you can ride it into the first town you visit. However, after that, a cutscene plays, and you’re not given the chance to summon your horse again, which can make your movement a little sluggish in Crimson Desert. You’ll also be gaining a slew of other mounts as you progress, and you need to know how to summon all of them.
Fortunately, there’s an easy way to summon any mount you acquire in Crimson Desert, and we’ll show you how to do so in the guide below.
How to summon your horse mount in Crimson Desert

Summoning your horse Herspia or any other mount you might acquire in Crimson Desert is as simple as equipping a weapon or using a consumable item. All you have to do is follow these simple steps:
- While controlling your character, press and hold “Up” on the D-Pad or “H” on keyboard (by default)
- This brings up the character and mount scroll wheel
- To summon Herspia or another mount, use your left joystick or your mouse to navigate to the mount’s position on the scroll wheel (at the bottom)
- While aiming at the mount, let go of the D-Pad or your keyboard button
- This will summon whatever mount you selected, and the mount will appear by your side within a couple of seconds
- If you’re in an area where your mount can’t be summoned, you’ll get a message at the top of your screen that says the mount can’t be summoned in your current area

And that’s really all there is to summoning any one of your mounts in Crimson Desert. The other controls in Crimson Desert might be a little clunky, but there’s nothing clunky about summoning and quickly getting on one of your mounts.
