The king is back to finally dethrone Mirage.
Maps are everything in CS2, and some are much, much more popular than others. New stats from Valve matchmaking reveal which ones are seeing the most play among casual players while FACEIT stats show where competitive grinders prefer to build their Elo. We’ve combed through the stats to see which maps get the most action and therefore have the shortest queue times.
For regular competitive maps in Valve matchmaking, we can simply look at the queue times. Based on that metric, Dust 2 is the most popular map in CS2, with queue times regularly beating out Mirage on European and North American servers. This is a small surprise, as Dust 2 is no longer in the competitive map pool and cannot be played in Premier. Still, the map’s fame makes it a natural pick as the most popular.
For Premier matchmaking, Mirage retains its spot as the king in CS2. According to Blitz.gg, Mirage makes up 23.9% of all games played in CS2. Inferno ranks second among CS2’s most popular maps with a 13.1% play rate, which is a massive step below Mirage. Dust 2 is still the most played map overall, but its absence in Premier puts Mirage on top.

- Mirage - 34.4%
- Inferno - 14.6%
- Vertigo - 12.9%

- Anubis - 11.3%

As in Valve matchmaking, Mirage reigns supreme. The map has always been the default pick in CS:GO, so it's no surprise that it keeps the top spot. It's a map that everyone feels comfortable on. T side has a 49.1% win rate, making it one of the most balanced places to grind Elo. The closest thing to a gimmick is vent, and it's effectively the same as it was in CS:GO. Don’t expect the status quo to change unless Valve suddenly removes it from Premier.
