Bravo six, going underground.

At the beginning of Season 02 of Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward claimed that they made DMZ missions easier. That doesn't appear to be the case when it comes to the Smuggling Tunnels mission. It's still pretty difficult to complete.

This new mission is part of the White Lotus faction and is one of the missions that are playable right from the off in DMZ. Smuggling Tunnels can be quite a complicated mission to complete, with a few different steps required.

Specifically, it is split into two sections. The first is finding the tunnels and the second is place a couple of tactical cameras in really specific positions.

How to find the Smuggling Tunnels in DMZ

Before doing anything related to any kind of tunnel, you need to get your hands on a stronghold key. When you have acquired one, head over to the stronghold that is just north of the Zarqwa Hydroelectric point of interest. It is in this stronghold that you will find access to the Smuggling Tunnels.

After using the key to get into the stronghold, make sure to clear out any AI enemies that spawn in. There will be plenty of resistance to your presence in the stronghold, as is the norm with these DMZ missions.

There are two entrances to the Smuggling Tunnels in DMZ and both are in and around this stronghold. The first one is straight through the door after unlocking the stronghold. The other is just outside, in a well that leads underground.

Where to put the tactical cameras in Smuggling Tunnels DMZ mission

The second part of the mission is to place tactical cameras in positions to watch two separate entrances to the Smuggling Tunnels. There are actually four different places where you can put your tactical cameras but the easiest two are just watching the two infill points that we've already discussed.

Take a few steps after going down the ladders that lead to the Smuggling Tunnels in DMZ and then turn around to face the ladder. Place your tactical camera down and then make sure to go and do the same in the other location.

After getting both set up then flick through your tactical camera view in order to check the two entrances. Doing this will complete this stage of the mission.

In order to make this step even easier, make sure to put the tactical cameras in as your field upgrade before heading into DMZ.

For the mission to count as complete, players also need to successfully extract from the DMZ. If you complete all of the steps up to that point and then die, you will have to start again.

If you follow all of those steps correctly, you will complete the Smuggling Tunnels mission in Modern Warfare 2 DMZ and will be rewarded with the "Perfect Duo" Calling Card and 7500 XP.
