There’s no more humiliating death in Black Ops 6.

Dying in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is a common occurrence, but there are certainly more humiliating ways of dying than others in multiplayer. Getting shot? Pretty standard. Getting knifed? Rough, but not rare. But death by body shield? Embarrassing.

Body shield kills are new to Black Ops 6, but executing them isn't easy. Here's how to use an enemy as a body shield in BO6.

To use an enemy as a body shield in Black Ops 6, you must approach an enemy from behind and double-tap your melee button. You'll see an indicator when you're able to body shield a target. A single press will use a light melee blow which won't kill the enemy, while holding the melee key will begin a finishing move.

Double-tapping the button will have your character disarm the opponent and grab them, pinning their arms down. They won't be able to shoot and can only sing out for help. If you still want to use a finisher move on the target, you can by holding your melee key again.

If they sing out for help, a mark will appear above them indicating to the enemy they have been captured. Then, when an enemy comes around and shoots you from in front, they'll hit their teammate first! You'll also have an advantage as you'll have your sidearm or primary weapon drawn and can immediately respond.

The funniest part is if the captured player uses voice chat, you'll hear them! They can plead with you to let them escape, or you can have a short chat with them before you execute them mercilessly.

Yes, even if the timer runs out, they'll be killed — there is no escaping a body shield unless the holder is shot from behind.

If you're chasing body shield kills, I suggest using the Ninja perk to mask your footsteps, and using weapons that boost movement speed (such as knives, sidearms, or SMGs) so you can keep up with and sneak on players.
