The Seance Starter is a new blueprint for the BAL-27 that you can earn by completing challenges in MW3 and Warzone.
Week three of Season 6 has arrived in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) and Warzone, and developer Sledgehammer Games is switching things up. Instead of introducing a new Aftermarket Part via the Weekly Challenges system, players can earn a weapon blueprint called the Seance Starter.
The Seance Starter is a blueprint for the BAL-27 that matches the Halloween aesthetic of Season 6. The blueprint comes with a full five attachments and doesn't require you to previously own the BAL-27 in MW3 or Warzone. Below, you can see how to unlock the Seance Starter so you can begin using it in Season 6.

If you have unlocked any Aftermarket Part through the Weekly Challenges system in the past, then you already know how to unlock the new blueprint in Week 3. You can view the Weekly Challenges by pressing the six dots icon in the top-right corner of the main lobby screen in MW3 and Warzone. From there, select "Challenges" and then "Weekly Challenges."
You'll immediately see the Week 3 page for Season 6 and can preview the Seance Starter blueprint by selecting its unlock box. To unlock the blueprint, you have to complete five challenges in Week 3. There are 21 challenges in total across multiplayer, Zombies, and battle royale that you have the option of completing. You can either choose to complete all five of these challenges in a single game mode or spread them out.
For example, you could complete one challenge in multiplayer and four others in Warzone, which equals five. Any combination that equals five completed challenges will be enough to unlock the Seance Starter in both MW3 and Warzone. Once you have your five completed challenges, you can head to the Gunsmith, select the BAL-27 from the list of assault rifles, and then choose the Seance Starter blueprint.
This equips the blueprint along with all of its base attachments. However, you can swap out the attachments if you want. Just be warned — swapping attachments might ruin some of the blueprint's aesthetics.
Completing Week 3 of Season 6 also brings you closer to unlocking the Drawn and Quartered camo in MW3 and Warzone. This camo is only unlockable by obtaining all four Weekly Challenge rewards in Season 6. Next week, in Week 4, you'll finally be able to unlock the camo for all weapons.
