The Saug is coming back in Black Ops 6.

The Saug is one of the most beloved submachine guns in the modern era of Call of Duty. Debuting in Black Ops 4, the compact weapon hadn't made a reappearance in any game until now. Season 1 of Black Ops 6 will reintroduce the Saug and give fans another option to deal with the strong assault rifles.

Black Ops 6 Season 1 launches on Nov. 14 and looks to be one of the biggest updates the franchise has seen in quite some time. While the Saug can be unlocked right at the start of the season, the unlock process has subtly changed from previous years. Take a look at the guide below to see exactly how to unlock the Saug in Black Ops 6.

Unlocking the Saug in Black Ops 6

As has been the case for the past several years, the new seasonal weapons in Black Ops 6 are available through the Battle Pass. The Season 1 Battle Pass features 100 tiers of content for fans to work through during the course of the season. There's a free and premium version of the Battle Pass, with the premium version costing $10. The free version only features a percentage of the 100 tiers.

Fortunately, the free version does include the seasonal weapons, the Krig C and the Saug. This means you don't have to purchase the Battle Pass or anything else to gain access to either weapon during Season 1.

However, you still need to work through the Battle Pass, which means earning or purchasing Battle Pass Tokens. The tokens are earned by playing Black Ops 6, but you can also purchase them with COD Points. If you own the Vault Edition, you automatically earn 20 free tier skips at the start of the season.

To unlock the Saug specifically, you need to reach and complete page 3 of the Battle Pass. On each page of the pass, there's roughly six pieces of content to work through, with the last tier being the "HVT." The HVT can't be earned until every tier before it has been unlocked. As you might expect, the Saug is the HVT on page 3.

This means you need to go through roughly 15 to 20 tiers of content on the Battle Pass to fully unlock the Saug. Vault Edition owners will be able to unlock the Saug right away with their tier skips, but other players have to acquire Battle Pass Tokens. Unlike the past two years, the Battle Pass is a linear system, so you can't jump from tier to tier as you see fit. Instead, you have to follow the pages and unlock content the way it's laid out for you.

Once you unlock the Saug, it becomes immediately available in the Gunsmith of Black Ops 6 and Warzone. This is also true if you purchase a Store Bundle that contains a Saug blueprint. Purchasing a Saug blueprint is a way to bypass the Battle Pass grind for the weapon, but it will cost more money on your end.

And that's everything you need to know about unlocking the Saug in Black Ops 6. Make sure to also check our out guide on the Season 1 roadmap so you know about all the future content coming.
