The Krig C is the newest assault rifle in Black Ops 6.

Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to feature one of the largest content drops in the history of the franchise. From new weapons to multiplayer maps to the Warzone integration, there's a plethora of content for fans to consume right from the get-go. Of course, perhaps the highlight of the season for many fans are the new weapons, and the Krig C is part of the initial offering in Black Ops 6 Season 1.

The Krig C is returning from Black Ops Cold War, where it dominated the assault rifle class from the very beginning. While the AMES 85 in Black Ops 6 already looks like the Krig, Season 1 delivers the real McCoy. Below, we'll show you how to unlock the Krig C so you can begin using it right away.

Unlocking the Krig C in Black Ops 6

If you've played any recent Call of Duty title, then you know how most seasonal weapons are unlocked. However, the unlock process for new weapons has changed slightly this year, so even veterans might need some assistance during Season 1.

The Krig C is a part of the Season 1 Battle Pass in Black Ops 6. The Battle Pass contains 100 tiers of content that you can work through during the course of the season. You can unlock tiers by purchasing them with COD Points or using Battle Pass Tokens, which are obtained by playing Black Ops 6 or Warzone. Also, Vault Edition owners receive 20 free tier skips at the start of every season.

Fortunately for everyone, the Krig C is a free tier on the Battle Pass. This means that you don't need to purchase the premium Battle Pass or own the Vault Edition to unlock the assault rifle. All you have to do is reach and complete page 6 of the Battle Pass. The Krig C is the "HVT" on page 6, meaning you need to unlock all of the content before it on the page to then unlock the weapon.

The Battle Pass in Black Ops 6 has reverted to a linear style. Instead of the Tac Map from the past two years, you work through linear pages that feature roughly six pieces of content each. Once you get through those six tiers of content, you move on to the next page until you get to tier 100. After reaching tier 100, you have fully completed the Season 1 Battle Pass. With the Krig C on page 6, you'll have to work through roughly 30 tiers of content to unlock it.

If you don't want to wait to unlock the Krig C through the Battle Pass, there will be a Store Bundle you can purchase to bypass the grind. Purchasing a Store Bundle with a Krig C blueprint means you permanently unlock the weapon in Black Ops 6, regardless of your Battle Pass status. Of course, this costs more money than simply buying the Battle Pass, but it does save time.

And that's everything you need to know about unlocking the Krig C in Black Ops 6. You can read about all the changes Season 1 is introducing to both multiplayer and Warzone in our previous guide.
