Prestiging will take you quite a long time in Black Ops 6 without external help.

One of the main attractions in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the return of the classic Prestige system. Players now have an actual form of progression in multiplayer and Zombies instead of having to rely on seasonal updates like in previous titles. However, with the return of prestiging, many players are asking how long it should take them to level up to 55 and enter first Prestige.

Of course, this is going to depend on several factors. For starters, if you have Double XP Tokens, your time spent leveling up will be considerably faster than someone with no Double XP. Also, your match performance must be accounted for, as that directly impacts how much score and XP you receive. All that said, though, we can safely determine how long each Prestige will take in Black Ops 6 for the average player.

Believe it or not, some players and streamers hit first Prestige before Black Ops 6 even went live worldwide. While plenty of these players were using Double XP Tokens and dropping high-kill matches, we can use how much time it took them to Prestige and determine how long it might take for everyone else.

For example, the OpTic Gaming "Race to Prestige" stream hit first Prestige in right around seven hours of gameplay. The entire time, the streamers used Double XP Tokens and averaged roughly 50 to 75 kills per game. Assuming that an average player doesn't use Double XP and plays regular, objective-based game modes in Black Ops 6, they will likely hit first Prestige in 13 to 15 hours of in-game playtime.

Compared to previous Call of Duty titles that featured classic Prestige, this is on par for the amount of time expected to reach level 55 from level one. However, if you happen to use any Double XP rewards, like the ones from Monster or Little Caesar's, you can cut that time way down.

It also helps if you're playing the correct game modes such as Kill Confirmed, Domination, Hardpoint, and more while using the meta weapons. We have loadout guides on the XM4 and C9 that will help you dominate any lobby and get some high-score matches with plenty of kills. During your time in matches, you also want to try and complete as many challenges as possible, as that's free XP waiting for you to claim.

Aside from that, there's not much you can do to aid you in your leveling journey from Prestige to Prestige.

That's all for now. Stick around on esports.gg for more news and updates.
