The ultimate form of progression, Prestige, is being added to Call of Duty Black Ops 6!
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reintroduced one of the most celebrated features in the franchise's history: Prestige mode. This is a progression system that allows players to reset their level and unlocks in exchange for a new icon next to their name and some other exclusive rewards. Fans of classic Call of Duty had been asking for the feature to return and you want to make sure you know how to take full advantage of it.

How to Prestige in Black Ops 6
First and foremost, let's get the basics out of the way. You can't Prestige in Black Ops 6 until you reach and complete level 55 in either multiplayer or Zombies. If you look at your level icon in the top-right corner of the main menu and it still has an incomplete bar of progression around it, then you're not maxed out yet.
Once your level has maxed out at 55, you can enter Prestige mode. This resets your level back to one, meaning you lose all of your weapons, perks, equipment, and everything else you unlocked on the way to level 55. However, you don't lose any weapon blueprints you have acquired or anything you've spent a Prestige Token on. The Prestige Tokens are unlocked every time you Prestige and can be used to permanently unlock one item.
With all of that out of the way, here are the steps to Prestige:
- From the main menu in Black Ops 6, go to the "Barracks" tab
- Then, go to the "Progression" section
- In Progression, you will see an option to enter the Prestige menu
- Go here, and then you'll be able to enter a new Prestige if you're maxed out at level 55
- To enter a new Prestige, hold Y/Triangle until the Prestige meter fills all the way up
- Then, you'll get a prompt confirming your desire to Prestige
- Click yes on that prompt, and you'll Prestige
Once that process is out of the way, you can go back to the main menu to see your new Prestige icon in Black Ops 6. You can also go back to the Prestige menu and click on your current Prestige to see all of the exclusive rewards you unlocked and use your Prestige Token.
