Check if your PC can run Black Ops 7.

Activision has officially revealed the PC system requirements for the highly anticipated FPS title, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The details showcased what players will need to run the game across various settings. This includes a minimum for a low-end rig up to competitive 4K Ultra graphics. Surprisingly, the game isn’t too demanding and runs smoothly even on lower-end systems.

If you are curious whether your PC can run Black Ops 7, here is a guide on its PC system requirements, including how it may perform on handhelds.

What’s interesting about the system requirements of Black Ops 7 is how they reflect a generational jump in hardware expectations compared to previous entries. The minimum specs are still accessible for players with mid-range setups from a few years ago, such as systems running on a Ryzen 5 1400 or GTX 970.

However, the recommended and competitive tiers now clearly target modern hardware from the past one or two generations, particularly GPUs like the RTX 3060 or RX 7900XT and CPUs such as the Ryzen 5 5600X.

Below, you can find the PC system requirements to run Black Ops 7 for varying hardware types.

Minimum Requirements

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 470 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or 1060 / Intel Arc A580
  • Video Memory: 3 GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (latest update)
  • Storage: SSD with 116 GB of available space at launch

For low-end hardware, you should be able to play the game at 1080p and around 30-60 fps. Performance may be a bit slow on High settings, so it is advisable to stick to Low or Medium graphics settings.

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or Intel Core i7-6700K
  • RAM: 12 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600XT / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 / Intel Arc B580
  • Video Memory: 8 GB
  • OS: Windows 11 64-bit (latest update)
  • Storage: SSD with 116 GB of available space at launch

For mid-range hardware, you should be able to hit 100+ fps at 1080p. Frame rate may be lower on High settings, but should still be playable with no stuttering issues.

Competitive or 4K Ultra  Requirements

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i7-10700K
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900XT / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or RTX 5070
  • Video Memory: 16 GB
  • OS: Windows 11 64-bit (latest update)
  • Storage: SSD with 116 GB of available space at launch

If you have beefy hardware, you should be able to hit 4K Ultra resolution and still get a smooth 60-90 fps. If you want to be competitive, you will want to lower the settings to Medium and focus on more accurate and responsive gameplay.

PC Handheld Optimization

Black Ops 7 is also optimized for on-the-go performance, ensuring that PC handhelds like the Steam Deck or ROG Ally can run it smoothly.

  • Runs on most Windows-based handhelds
  • Optimized visuals and performance for portable play
  • Sharper text for smaller screens
  • Smart power and battery optimization

Additional notes to keep in mind

Aside from the PC system requirements for Black Ops 7, there are a few things to keep in mind before installing the game on release day. The game requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled to launch. Additionally, DirectX 12 is also required for all types of hardware on top of a stable internet connection. For those using Intel Arc GPUs, it’s important to ensure that Resizable Bar is enabled for optimal performance.

Take note that these specifications apply only to Black Ops 7. Call of Duty: Warzone will demand additional storage space to install. On top of that, Activision recommends keeping your graphics drivers updated at all times.
