The best loadout for the best SMG in Black Ops 6.
Even after a nerf during the multiplayer beta in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the Jackal PDW is still arguably the best submachine gun in the game. It's the current meta choice among professional players and dominates a weaker class of SMGs along with the PP-919.
While the Jackal PDW is undoubtedly strong, to compete with the stronger assault rifles in Black Ops 6, the SMG needs some help. That's where a certain set of attachments comes in along with the rest of the loadout for the Jackal PDW. Below, we'll go over every aspect of the Jackal PDW's loadout so you can have the best setup possible.
How to unlock the Jackal PDW in Black Ops 6
For most players, the Jackal PDW is unlocked at level 43 in the military ranks. We recommended some players use a Prestige Token on the Jackal to permanently unlock the weapon, avoiding the need to grind to level 43 to unlock it during every prestige.
However, if you purchased the Vault Edition of Black Ops 6, you already have the Jackal permanently unlocked. The Vault Edition comes with the Scourge blueprint for the Jackal PDW, which gives you permanent access to the weapon no matter what level you are. You can also unlock a permanent blueprint for the Jackal PDW by playing the Black Ops 6 Campaign.
Attachments for the best Jackal PDW loadout in Black Ops 6
Moving on, let's get into the meat and potatoes of the Jackal PDW loadout: the weapon attachments. The Jackal is already a strong SMG, but it needs some help on the damage and accuracy side of things to keep up with the strong ARs in multiplayer.
- Muzzle: Ported Compensator
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
- Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
- Stock: Balanced Stock
This loadout is split in terms of what stats it's helping. First off, we have the Ported Compensator and the Reinforced Barrel. The former improves vertical recoil control and first shot recoil control while the latter vastly increases damage range and bullet velocity.
The next section of the loadout primarily deals with mobility. The Ranger Foregrip boosts movement speed along with horizontal recoil control while the Ergonomic Grip and Balanced Stock take care of every other mobility stat you need.

Best secondary weapon for the Jackal PDW
Next up on your loadout is the secondary weapon. This slot doesn't matter as much with an SMG, as you can take on a fight at all ranges, but you still need a solid gun to back you up when you run out of bullets.
The top overall secondary pistol in Black Ops 6 is the Stryder .22, which is unlocked at level 40. However, you can also choose to run the default pistol, the 9mm PM, which behaves similarly to the Stryder and features a strong damage profile.
Best tactical and lethal equipment for the Jackal PDW
Once your secondary is equipped, you can pick some equipment to use. As always, you need to pick both a lethal and a tactical piece of equipment, and you can see our recommendations for both below:
- Tactical - Stim Shot
- Lethal - Semtex/Impact Grenade
The Stim Shot is easily the best tactical in Black Ops 6, healing you instantly, but we also recommend a Flash Grenade if you want something more impactful against enemies. The lethal slot has two choices, the Semtex and Impact Grenade, and both are solid choices for dealing huge, immediate damage to anyone in your path.
Best perks and wildcard for the Jackal PDW
Finally, we have arrived at the last section of your Jackal PDW loadout, which is the perks and wildcard. There are plenty of options to choose from in both categories, but we're choosing to use the perks and wildcard in conjunction with each other.
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Fast Hands
- Perk 3: Double Time
- Perk 4: Flak Jacket/Ninja
- Wildcard: Perk Greed
This is the most basic, yet effective perk setup in Black Ops 6. It covers all your bases and allows you to be the best version of whatever playstyle you choose to use in a given match.
And that wraps up the entire loadout for the Jackal PDW in Black Ops 6. If you're interested in swapping to an assault rifle for a match, be sure to check out our other loadout guide on the Model L.
