A new Halloween-themed event has arrived in MW3 and Warzone, so find out how you can earn every reward.

The calendar has officially turned to October, and the spooky season in Call of Duty is in full swing. The Halloween-themed content has already been flowing in Season 6 of Modern Warfare 3 (MW3), but the new Trick 'R Treat: Candy Hunt event signals the true start of the holiday.

In the Trick 'R Treat event, your job is to collect candy across multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone to earn exclusive rewards. The more candy you collect, the more rewards you earn. The ultimate reward in the event is the Blood Red Riding Hood operator skin, which can be unlocked by collecting a ludicrous amount of candy.

In total, there are 20 smaller rewards to earn during the event before you finally unlock the Blood Red Riding Hood skin. These rewards are earned at specific candy intervals, meaning you need to collect a specific amount of candy to earn each reward. Candy is earned by killing enemies, so participating in matches across multiplayer, Zombies, and battle royale is the only way to progress the event.

You can see what the event rewards are and how much candy is required to earn them below:

  • Tier 1:
    • Double Battle Pass XP Token - 300 candy
    • Trick 'R Treat Reward - 600 candy
    • Follow the Rules or Die Emblem - 900 candy
    • Trick 'R Treat Reward - 1,200 candy
    • Trick 'R Treat Reward - 1,500 candy
  • Tier 2:
    • Trick 'R Treat Reward - 300 candy
    • Give Me Candy Large Decal - 600 candy
    • Trick 'R Treat Reward - 900 candy
    • Halloween Spoils Camo - 1,200 candy
    • Trick 'R Treat Reward - 1,500 candy
  • Tier 3:

    • Trick 'R Treat Reward - 600 candy
    • Double Weapon XP Token - 900 candy

    • Hollie-Ho Chocolate Bar Melee Weapon - 1,250 candy
    • Trick 'R Treat Reward - 1,500 candy
  • Blood Red Riding Hood Skin - 1,000,000 candy

That is not a typo. It takes 1,000,000 candy to unlock the Blood Red Riding Hood skin through the Trick 'R Treat event in MW3 and Warzone. You have to progress through the four smaller tiers of rewards to then be able to unlock the final reward in the event. You can track how much candy you've earned in each tier by viewing the "Events" tab and selecting "Trick 'R Treat." From there, look at the lines connecting the tiers to the rewards to see how much progress you've made.

As a note, it's unclear what the "Trick 'R Treat Rewards" are in the event, as they have no label in the reward boxes. However, you can see if they unlock anything after reaching the candy requirement for each one.

The Trick 'R Treat: Candy Hunt event lasts for 13 days in MW3, meaning it concludes on Oct. 16. You can buy and equip certain operator skins that are available in new store bundles to earn more candy per match. Two bundles offer this incentive, the Sam Operator Bundle and Halloween Mask Pack, and they go for 2,400 and 2,800 CoD Points, respectively.
