Here’s everything we know about the closed and open beta for Battlefield 6.
According to a new report, FPS fans won't have to wait much longer to get their hands on an early access version of Battlefield 6. The report states that Battlefield 6 will throw both a closed and open beta following the worldwide reveal that's taking place on Thursday, July 31.
The existence of a beta isn't too surprising, as we've expected to play Battlefield 6 early for quite a while. However, what we didn't know was when the beta would take place. If this report holds, then some fans will be able to play the new Battlefield within the next week.
You can see the rumored beta dates and how to play early in the guide below.
Battlefield 6 Closed and Open Beta dates
EA hasn't officially confirmed when the beta will take place, but a report from Tom Henderson at Insider Gaming has given us a strong indication of when it will happen. Henderson's source is said to have knowledge of the beta plans, but they wanted to remain anonymous as EA doesn't want the beta plans to be public yet.
The report says that the Closed Beta for Battlefield 6 is slated to start on Thursday, August 7. The Closed Beta will only be open for fans who pre-order an edition of Battlefield 6 or those who receive a beta code through a Twitch Drop. You can receive this drop by watching one of the many content creators who will be streaming gameplay of Battlefield 6 at the Worldwide Reveal event. Pre-orders should be open after the Worldwide Reveal event starts.

The Closed Beta will supposedly only last for two or three days. Then, reportedly on August 9, the Open Beta will begin. This portion of the beta will be open to any player with a console or system that can run Battlefield 6.
On August 10, the beta will come to an end. However, a second weekend will then start on August 14 and run until August 17. This will be open for all players.
The Closed and Open Betas are slated to only include multiplayer gameplay. The rumored Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6 might be announced at the Worldwide Reveal, but it won't be playable during the beta weekends.

How to play the Battlefield 6 beta
As we mentioned before, the best way to play the entire Battlefield 6 beta is through pre-ordering. This ensures you get access to the Closed Beta that supposedly begins on August 7. However, you could also test your luck and see if you can score a Twitch Drop that grants you access.
Of course, if you don't want to pre-order or if you don't get lucky, all you have to do is wait a few days until August 9. This is when the Open Beta begins, which is playable for all players.
Battlefield 6 will be available on PC, PlayStation 4+5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. As long as you have the right console or a PC that meets the system requirements for Battlefield 6, you'll be able to play during the Open Beta weekends.
