As the second Open Beta weekend for Battlefield 6 approaches, we look at the best build for the SGX, the most used gun in the game.
Battlefield 6’s Open Beta has a fair few guns, and many players have been experimenting with builds, especially for the SGX. The submachine gun (SMG) has been a favourite of many so far in the early playtests. With close and mid-range combat viability, the gun has become a laser beam for Domination and Breakthrough. However, with the right attachments, the best SGX loadout can run over everyone in Battlefield 6.

Modifying your weapon attachments can make or break the fight in BF6. Simply utilising your range finder to zero your crosshairs as a Recon can nail those longer headshots. With the Engineer class, or SMGs in general, this is true too. The SGX is dominating the Open Beta, and due to a certain loadout, it is unlikely to slow down.
Each weapon can combine attachments up to a total of 100 points in BF6. This allows for a fair amount of customisation, which can all be changed in-game. The best build for the SGX in the Open Beta has already been widely discussed, and each of the attachments is listed below.
- Scope: OSA-7 1.00X Scope (Mastery Rank 2)
- Muzzle: Linear Compensator (Mastery Rank 2)
- Barrel: 8" Extended Barrel (Mastery Rank 3)
- Top Accessory: 5MW Green Laser (Mastery Rank 4)
- Underbarrel: 6H64 Vertical Grip (Mastery Rank 11)
- Ammunition: Soft Point Ammo (Mastery Rank 17)
- Magazine: 36RND Magazine (Mastery Rank 18)
This all adds up to an exact 100 attachment points. However, the most important part is the way the gun functions. With barely any recoil, this best build for the SGX has been outshining the rest in the Open Beta. With this build, the scope can be changed out depending on user preference, but anything more than the CCO 2.00X feels a bit more annoying to use during combat situations.
BF6’s Open Beta returns to us on Thursday, August 14, with another few days of play heading our way. While the developers have made comments about the recoil (or lack thereof), these changes are possibly not in the beta build. The SGX, being one of the strongest close to mid-quarter combat weapons, is bound to be played by everyone.
