Avowed: All editions, pre-order bonuses, and how to get early access

The release date for Avowed is rapidly approaching but the exact time you can play the new RPG is determined by what edition you purchase. Avowed is allowing some players to gain early access through a pre-order bonus by buying a specific edition. Pre-ordering this edition not only comes with early access, but other in-game content as well.

Of course, if you don't want to spend extra on a fancier edition of Avowed, you still might want to see what your money gets you. Below, we'll showcase all of the editions in Avowed, what pre-order bonuses come with each, and how to get early access.

Currently, there are three main editions of Avowed, but two of them are largely the same thing. You can either purchase the Standard Edition, the Premium Edition, or the Premium Edition Steelbook. The Premium Edition Steelbook is the only physical copy of Avowed that's going on sale and it comes with some real-life goodies for you to take home.

As you can see, the Standard Edition only comes with a copy of the game and nothing else while the Digital Premium Edition has some digital items attached to it. It's the Premium Edition Steelbook that carries the real content, as you get some physical items along with two in-game Skin Packs. Since the Premium Edition Steelbook is a physical copy of Avowed, you can only purchase it at retailers for Xbox Series X|S.

Unfortunately, the only pre-order bonus currently available for Avowed is the five days of early access that comes with pre-ordering either Premium Edition of the game. If you pre-order Avowed before or on Feb. 13, you can start playing five days before the official launch date on Feb. 18.

Even if you purchase the Premium Edition shortly after Feb. 13, like on Feb. 15, you can still have early access, but it would only be for three days rather than the full five. If you're near a retailer that's selling the Premium Edition Steelbook of Avowed, it's certainly the better value between the two Premium Editions. It only costs five dollars more and comes with plenty of additional content.

Of course, if you're on PC, then you're only able to pre-order the digital versions of Avowed. The PC version is coming to Steam, the Xbox app for Windows, and Battle.Net.
