Replacing him on the team is former Mouz NXT player, JDC.
A group stage exit at the ESL Pro League Season 15 has resulted in a roster change for Mouz, an unexpected change to the roster that was signed in January. Replacing NBK on the Mouz roster is the academy player Jon "JDC" de Castro.
"After a disappointing EPL, all focus is on the RMR now. We decided that JDCs attitude, positivity and communications will be vital for the team going forward. We know it's tough for Nathan, but we strongly believe in the positive impact of Jons promotion."
This announcement comes just weeks before the start of the PGL Antwerp Major RMR events. NBK’s chances of finding a team in such a short period of time seem extremely slim.
An unfair and rushed decision
NBK joined Mouz earlier this year in what seemed like a promising roster filled with experience and firepower. But an early group stage exit from ESL Pro League Season 15 seems to have necessitated a roster change.
The 27-year-old player was very confused with the decision he explained on Twitter. The decision was delivered to him just 24 hours before the official announcement.
“I have never been so confused about such an unfair and rushed decision,” he said on Twitter.
Mouz crashed out of the ongoing ESL Pro League Season 15 after losing matches to Entropiq, NiP and Fnatic. NBK played 332 rounds ending the tournament with a -23 KD ratio.
He goes on to praise his teammates as well as JDC, the youngster who will now join the main roster.
"Only love to Torzsi, dexter, frozen, Bymas and JDC that I truly enjoyed playing with everyday!"
What's next for NBK??
NBK has decided to chill and stream a bit more in the upcoming days. Since his contract is relatively new and most CS: GO teams have already finalized their rosters for the Major, it will be very difficult for him to find a new home before the Major.
JDC has experience playing against tier 1 teams, having competed in the WePlay Academy Leagues. He also stood in for Mouz during IEM Katowice when Bymas could not play due to COVID.
The Mouz roster has immense potential, but they were unable to convert it to results. With these roster changes, the team hopes to go back to winning ways.
