Silver Soldier – Anby drip marketing confirms fan theories

The latest drip marketing for Zenless Zone Zero features Silver Soldier - Anby! This is a separate unit from the A-Rank Anby that we all get in the beginning of the game.

Like her A-Rank version, Silver Soldier - Anby is an Electric Agent. The difference however, is that this one is Attack. While not confirmed, it's widely believed that Silver Soldier will be S-Rank. This makes her the second in this archetype, following Asaba Harumasa.

Anby's outfit in this Silver Soldier iteration is more fitting for the Obol Squad, although her Faction is simply labeled "Unknown." This is something that ZZZ fans have speculated for since the game's release. The resemblance between Soldier 11 and Anby is something that hasn't gone unnoticed.

Now, those theories are getting some validation. Anby having an S-Rank version means that she'll also get Trust Events and that she will most likely be relevant in the next episode of Phaethon's Story. This gives us the opportunity to know more about her and possibly uncover her true faction.

Anby's "Unknown" faction allows her a personalized quote where the faction's motto would be. Funnily enough, hers is "if Nicole asks, please cover for me." Nicole also offers a quote in the Silver Soldier - Anby drip marketing. She says "I don't know... seeing Anby back in this outfit stirs up such a mess of thoughts. Memories come rushing in, like a piggy bank full of Dennies smashed open. As Anby would put it, isn't this what they call.. a montage?"

The rest of the quotes are from Trigger from the Obol Squad, General Chop, and someone referred to as "Is it life? A hollow shell? Or merely a sigh in the eternal night?"

She will be coming alongside Pulchra who is joining the Sons of Calydon. This may hint that the story will progress in Blazewood.

Silver Soldier - Anby will be a playable Agent in the ZZZ 1.6 update, scheduled on March 5, 2025.
