You can now pre-load the game ahead of its release!
Ubisoft's upcoming shooter, XDefiant, is nearing its release! The highly-anticipated multiplayer will officially drop on May 21 but ahead of this release date, players can already prepare beforehand and grab the XDefiant pre-load! Here's how to download the XDefiant pre-load on all platforms.
How to download XDefiant pre-load on all available platforms
To get the XDefiant pre-load, go to Ubisoft's XDefiant official website and spot the massive PRE-LOAD button at the center of the page. Once you click on it, you'll see a small tab appear.
The tab provides you the choice to download XDefiant's pre-load on your platform of choice. Note that XDefiant is only available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
The tab will also remind you that downloading XDefiant requires a solid internet connection and a Ubisoft account. XDefiant also has an age restriction for 16 years old and above.
To begin downloading XDefiant, click on your platform. If you do not already have Ubisoft Connect on your PC, it will instantly download a "UbisoftConnectInstaller.exe". Launch this installer to begin installing Ubisoft Connect which requires only 411 MB of storage.
Once you install Ubisoft Connect, you'll need to sign in or create a new account. After this procedure, XDefiant will automatically be added to your Library and the game will pre-load.
Make sure you have more than 33.4 GB of free storage on your device to download XDefiant. Once everything loads - then congratulations, you now own XDefiant on your device!
