This Wuthering Waves (WuWa) update includes new Resonator Convenes, first-ever reruns for some fan-favorite characters, an epic conclusion of the story arc, a new powerful boss, and even more.
We’ve been playing the 2.x series of WuWa versions since the beginning of 2025 — in fact, longer than the original one. Wuthering Waves 1.4 was the last one before the transition to the region of Rinascita with Version 2.0. It feels like WuWa 2.7 can become a meaningful milestone, which at least carves the path to the next, 3.0 chapter.
Kuro Games already confirmed two new Resonators coming to Wuthering Waves 2.7. Some reliable leaks hint at an epic story conclusion. The official Preview Broadcast reveals more details on WuWa 2.7 character banners, the main quest, and new opponents.

Adventures in Rinascita and back to Huanglong
Since WuWa 2.4, the main story adventures happen in the city of Septimont and around it. The newest location here is Sanguis Plateaus, with new bosses and materials. Wuthering Waves players explored it with Iuno and Augusta in WuWa 2.6.
Considering the backstory of the new Resonators, we should have another quest in Rinascita. The official poster of WuWa 2.7 features a glowing castle — it can be located near Septimont or in a new sub-region.
However, the sword master Qiuyuan is more about taking steps back to Huanglong, the original region of Wuthering Waves.
What epic story conclusion happens in Rinascita so that players will head to Huanglong? We should wait for the WuWa 2.7 for all the reveals!
New Resonators and character re-runs in Wuthering Waves 2.7
Galbrena and Qiuyuan join the playable roster in WuWa with Version 2.7. The new characters come with reruns in Resonator Convenes: Lupa and Zani are available for the first time after their original introduction.

Galbrena in Wuthering Waves
The girl is a 5-star Fusion Resonator who fights with a Pistol. Galbrena is the main damage dealer in WuWa teams, thanks to her Demon Hypostasis state.
The main intention of Galbrena in Wuthering Waves is to make this world safe from Tacet Discords. She hunts for dangerous creatures restlessly!
Qiuyuan in WuWa
It rarely happens that a guy joins the mighty girls of Wuthering Waves as a playable Resonator. WuWa 2.7 treats us to this occasion.
Qiuyuan is a sword master who wanders around Huanglong, looking to improve his battling skills even further.
The rarity of Qiuyuan is 5 stars. He is an Aero character with a Sword.
The kit of WuWa Qiuyuan is whirling around buffing teammates, and specifically their Crit Rates.
The vast range of in-game opponents becomes richer with a new creature: Threnodian Leviathan, a new weekly boss. WuWa 2.7 also includes time-limited events and quality-of-life updates.
