To claim the free 5-star Xiangli Yao, you must earn a certain number of "Popularity" points in the By Moon's Grace event. You can claim him via the upcoming "Converging Paths" event which will be available from September 7 - 28.
Wuthering Waves 1.2 introduced a massive main event called By Moon's Grace. This event will have you assist Xiangli Yao with preparations for the Moonlit Fair. From September 7 to 28, you can claim Xiangli Yao for free if you have collected enough popularity points. The required popularity points have yet to be revealed.
