The World of Warcraft (WoW) The War Within expansion is well underway, which also means a brand-new season of competition! The Arena World Championship (AWC) broadcast, in particular, is kicking off this weekend. Here's everything to know about this WoW esports event, including the circuit's overall schedule, where to watch all of the action, and more!

WoW AWC Season 1 enters The War Within

WoW AWC Season 1 for The War Within features a total prize pool of $400,000 USD. This is spread across four AWC Cups, the AWC Gauntlet, and the AWC Grand Finals. While the first five tournaments get $20,000 in prizing each, the AWC Grand Final has the coveted $300,000 USD prize pool.

WoW AWC Season 1 schedule

This circuit's live broadcast begins on Sept. 27 with AWC Cup 1. After this weekend, AWC Cup 2 will happen between Oct. 4 and Oct. 6. Next, AWC Cup 3 will occur between Oct. 11 and Oct. 13 while AWC Cup 4 will see teams duke it out between Oct. 18 and Oct. 20. As for the AWC Gauntlet, this will happen on Nov. 15. The ultimate goal? Getting into the WoW AWC Season 1 Grand Finals between Nov. 16 and Nov. 17!
