World of Warcraft players unite for Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am 2023

Here’s everything to know about the 2023 Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am, which supports diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, accessibility, and justice (DEIBAJ) initiatives.

Team Liquid and Raider.IO have teamed up for the return of the World of Warcraft Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am tournament! This event will feature esports players, amateurs, and influencers uniting to raise funds for charity. Read on for the Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am details, how to sign up, and charities, and more.

Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am

The third-annual Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am broadcast will kick off on April 15 at 9 a.m. PDT. Six teams of five players will race against time to push Mythic+ keystone dungeons. Each team will also get five hours to push keys, aiming for the highest level possible. All six teams will enter the fray at the same time and select their dungeons.

  • Six teams of five players each:
    • Two pros
    • Two amateurs
    • One content creator or influencer

Each participating team will include two World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International (WoW MDI) pros and either a content creator or community influencer. The final two spots will go to two eligible and randomly-selected amateurs from the event's open registration.

Interested players can register between March 11 at 8 a.m. PDT to March 28 at 11:59 p.m. PDT via the Raider.IO website for a chance to participate in the event.

Where to watch and what to expect

The World of Warcraft esports action will begin on April 15 at 9 a.m. PDT. The broadcast will run until 3 p.m. PDT and happen on Team Liquid's official Twitch channel. There will also be 30-minute pre and post-shows in addition to the five hours of gameplay.

As for the causes, they will be non-profit organizations that are focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, accessibility, and justice (DEIBAJ).

Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am prize pool

As for the prize pool, it will be $30,000 USD donated by the event's sponsors. These include wellness company and presenting sponsor Thorne and mod platform plus gaming add-on Overwolf.

This prize pool will be shared based on each World of Warcraft team's placement at the end of the tournament. Each team will get a portion for their selected non-profit organization. Viewers will also get the chance to support these charities via donations during the livestream.
