Meanwhile, Szymek Cleave had a challenging journey to the final. They went 2-3 against Pump Or Be Pumped earlier on, relegating them to the elimination bracket. However, after a series of victories, they climbed their way to the top to face The Workshop.

The Workshop took the first point in Nagrand Arena, followed by another point in Ruins of Lordaeron. However, when the two teams clashed in Ruins of Lordaeron again in Game 3, Szymek Cleave claimed victory. Game 4 returned to Nagrand Arena, with Szymex Cleave tying the score.

Liquid players win WoW Cataclysm Classic Arena Tournament NA: Cdew interview

In the post-match interview, Cdew shared his thoughts about how his team fared against Chanimal, Kubzy, and Snutz in team Old Men. "They were probably our most worried matchup," he said. "I think there's maybe one mirror that does pretty well into us, but I think other than that, they're the only team that actually, really has a winning record over us on ladder."

Cdew then talked about his history with Snutz. "It's also kind of funny to be up against Snutz because Snutz and I also played my first tournament ever together. So I was 18, he was 16, and this is 15 years later, and we're still going at it like not a day has passed. So it's pretty awesome to still be able to compete against those guys."

The player also gave a shoutout to his teammates Ryan "Trill" Costello and Richard "Mes" Simpson. Trill's shot calling reminded him of Oscar "Whaazz" Wulff. Meanwhile, Mes impressed him with all the steals.

"Big shout out to Trill because his games in that last series [were] just insane. He was just the shot caller, the shot maker. Every single kill target, every single CC, every bomb — it literally just reminded me of playing with Whaazz. Whaazz is just always talking. I'm like, 'Hello, guys? I'm kinda dead here' [and Whaazz is] like, 'No. Paladin right now.' They just did an incredible job — Mes with all the steals and I just kind of [had] to sit back and press Healing Stream into spells. So I had a little bit of an easier job there."
