How to earn the World of Warcraft Sun and Moon Warden transmogs in patch 10.0.5

The Sun and Moon Warden armor transmogs are two of the most sought-after looks in World of Warcraft. Here’s how you’ll be able to get them soon.

The Night Elf Sun and Moon Warden armor transmogs are iconic. This is especially true if you got your start in World of Warcraft during The Burning Crusade and spent three years watching Maiev Shadowsong chase Illidan around Outlands. However, the armor set's absence has long been a noted gap in the wide variety of looks that players can equip.

Well, wait no more as next week's Patch 10.0.5 content update and the new Trading Post feature will make this dream a reality...Assuming you can doggedly earn 12 rewards for a full calendar year.

Data-mining from Wowhead revealed the long, strange trip awaiting players that want to get their Warden on. Let's take a look.

How to get the Sun and Moon Warden transmogs

The new Trading Post feature in Patch 10.0.5 will offer up monthly quests that offer currency for the new store. In many ways, the quests look and function like a free battle pass. Complete certain quests each month, fill in the pass, and unlock rewards. The Sun and Moon Warden transmogs are found at the end of an achievement requiring players to earn the monthly Special Reward 12 times.

The special reward is the final earnable item of the trading pass. And while this doesn't provide insight as to whether this must be done consecutively or if this unlocks both armor sets, it does reveal how the Trading Post quests will function.

On the plus side, it does appear as the Trading Post quests are flexible and can come from a variety of sources. This includes crafting, raiding, Mythic dungeons, world quests, and more. The Trading Post was already shaping up to be one of the most exciting new features added to WoW in years. But the addition of the Sun and Moon Warden transmogs just seals the deal.

Keep an eye out starting in February when the Trading Post officially comes to Warcraft, and keep tuned to esports for more info.
