Echo players sweep 4-0 in WoW AWC Cup 2

Team Echo enjoyed a win streak in the upper bracket throughout the weekend, besting Bonjour Bruv in the first round and going 3-0 against The Agents in the quarterfinal. When it came down to the semifinal, it was close 3-2 against Admirals Esports. Despite getting knocked down to the elimination bracket, the latter team climbed their way back up to face Echo for a rematch in the final!

In this WoW AWC Cup 2 match, Echo earned the first point in Nagrand Arena. This was followed by more victories in Empyrean Domain and Ruins of Lordaeron. When the teams faced each other in Hook Point, Echo secured the kill on the enemy Druid.

"We're feeling great," Whaazz said in the post-match interview. He also noted how Admirals Esports' players were worthy opponents in the final. "The score doesn't actually showcase how good Admiral Esports actually are. This was close. Much closer than it looked."

Much like Echo, team Golden Guardians also celebrated another weekly victory. After defeating Luminosity Gaming in the first round, the players went 3-1 against Super One Shot Frogs and 3-0 against Dukamified. A familiar tale continued as Dukamified players climbed their way back up for the rematch.

In the final, the Golden Guardians earned wins in Nagrand Arena, Ashamane's Fall, and Empyrean Domain. When it came down to match point, the Golden Guardians fought Dukamified in Maldraxxus Coliseum and stunlocked the opposing Priest to secure a 4-0 sweep.

"I've not felt what it's like to win or be this competitive in so long," Pikaboo said after the match. "And now I think all the other teams, too, are very surprised 'cause usually, this is not how it's been for so long. I think the team's just playing a lot more, and I think they're having a lot more fun with the game. And I think it definitely shows in their gameplay. Even just the way they're talking and feeling. They're super positive and super willing to try to work on things and figure things out. So it's super nice having a good team environment.”
