Here is what World of Warcraft’s executive producer had to say about the game’s plans for 2025.
World of Warcraft's executive producer, Holly Longdale, has shared an update about the game's 2025 roadmap. The update went into housing, the Midnight expansion, the World of Warcraft experience for new players, and more. It also mentioned World of Warcraft Classic: Mists of Pandaria.
World of Warcraft roadmap features player housing
In the update, Longdale revealed that the development team will collaborate with the community to make housing in special. This will be guided by three core pillars focused on player expression, social engagement, and making sure that housing becomes an evergreen feature in the game.
"Housing is more than a feature to us," she said, adding that the World of Warcraft community plays a role in shaping homes in Azeroth. "Our eyes and ears are always open to you, as the journey home begins with you."
World of Warcraft Midnight and The Last Titan updates
Longdale also talked about making World of Warcraft more approachable to new and returning players. According to the post, the development team hopes to streamline the experience for both the Midnight and The Last Titan expansions.
"We know that being truly welcoming requires a lot of work around our new and returning player experiences in modern WoW," she said. "We are committed to that work, and we will be making some improvements in Midnight and The Last Titan. I’ll be honest—this will be a long-term, ongoing journey, as the game evolves and changes with each expansion. There is no quick fix, but we are here for it."
