VALORANT patch notes 11.00

General updates

Suppression visual effects have been updated to be more visible on opponents to improve clarity of the debuff. Riot Games added new UI/UX animations around picking up the spike to hopefully make it more obvious when players have picked it up.

Agent updates in VALORANT patch 11.00

Waylay

Waylay has a steep mastery curve, with win rates rising as players get more experience. Still, she remains slightly weak across all skill levels. These buffs aim to improve her ability to fight after exiting Lightspeed, make her Refract loop easier to manage, and enhance overall gameplay flow. Saturate is also getting a boost, as it hasn't landed as consistently as other abilities, which is important given its 300 credit cost.

Refract

Refract is now faster and smoother, reducing its overall travel time. As a result, Waylay’s time-travel ability resets more quickly, allowing her to return to the fight sooner. You'll also re-equip your primary weapon more quickly, making Waylay more responsive and combat-ready than ever.

  • Minimum time in refract decreased 0.5s - 0.35s
  • Maximum time in refract decreased 3s - 2s
  • Unequip time decreased 1.0s - 0.8s
  • Refract delay after reactivation decreased 0.1s - 0.05s

Lightspeed

  • Unequip delay decreased 0.8s - 0.6s

Saturate

  • Windup before explosion decreased 0.75s - 0.6s
  • Size increased 10m total size - 12m total size

Reyna

Reyna’s flash, Leer, has been more durable than many similar shootable abilities, often feeling difficult to destroy, especially with the lack of clear feedback when it's being hit. To address this, Riot Games is reducing its health and introducing audio and visual cues to make it clearer when your shots are landing.

Leer

  • HP decreased 100 >> 80
  • Audio and visual hit confirm feedback has been added to shots that land on Leer.

Neon and Phoenix

Riot Games is also making adjustments to Neon’s Relay Bolt and Phoenix’s Curveball to allow for more counterplay. While these abilities are designed to provide strong combat advantages, their quick activation has left opponents with little time to react. The updated changes aim to enhance real-time counterplay opportunities without diminishing the importance of anticipation and positioning.

Neon

  • Relay Bolt Windup increased 0.8s - 1.0s

Phoenix

  • Curveball Windup increased 0.5s - 0.6s

Clarity and consistency updates

These below changes are part of VALORANT's ongoing effort to improve gameplay consistency and combat clarity similar to the Neon’s Overdrive visual effects updates and Deadlock’s Barrier Mesh health states. Below are Riot Games' official patch notes.

Breach

  • Aftershock: Visual effects around the windup and explosions resolve slightly more quickly and block less gameplay space

Sova

  • Recon Bolt: Increased volume of Recon Bolt’s projectile loop and improved how the arrow’s sound travels through the air to make it easier to track
  • Audio priority and attenuation adjusted so that you can more reliably hear the arrow when multiple audio cues are present
  • Audio tech updated to make it easier understand the trajectory of the arrow, point of impact, and reveal radius
  • Owl Drone: Enemies now hear a light warning audio loop when they are spotted by Sova’s drone
  • Audio hit confirm feedback has been added when shooting the drone successfully

Clove

  • Pick-Me-Up: Pick-Me-Up visuals updated to show when Clove’s speed boost is active

Killjoy

  • Lockdown: Lockdown’s detain pulse delay: 0.5s - 0.15s
  • Lockdown’s visual effects have been updated to match this new behavior

Cypher

  • Spycam: Spycam’s dart visuals have been updated so that is easier to understand the dart’s directionality

Omen

  • Given no other dome smoke controllers reveal their own location on smoking, we’ve removed this opponent counterplay specific to Omen
  • Dark Cover no longer plays audio in third person within 12.5 meters for opponents. This audio will still play for Allies

Brimstone

  • Sky Smoke will now play cast audio within 12.5 meters for allies

Map updates

Corrode

  • A five-versus-five (5v5) spike mode map featuring layered defenses and strategic depth across its medieval fortress setting. Navigate through contrasting castle fortifications and village structures, battling across multi-level positions in this salt-crystallized stronghold shaped by radianite storms. Corrode features three lanes and two sites.

Map pool updates

  • Bind and Corrode are in the competitive and deathmatch queues
  • Pearl and Split are out of the competitive and deathmatch queues
  • Corrode is now also available to play in Premier, Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, and Escalation

Modes updates

VALORANT welcomes Corrode as the newest addition to its map pool. To celebrate its launch, a Corrode-only queue will be available for five days, featuring matches in the Swiftplay format. During this period, the Escalation mode will be temporarily disabled.

Meanwhile, Icebox has been reenabled in both Deathmatch and Escalation game modes after Riot resolved the spawn-related issues introduced in Patch 10.09.

Competitive updates

The Ranked Gun Buddy has officially arrived! With Act IV kicking off on June 24, players will receive their Ranked Buddy this patch, based on the highest rank achieved during the first three acts of Season 2025.

The new map, Corrode, will be immediately available in the Competitive queue on day one of the patch. To ease players into the new environment, RR losses on Corrode will be reduced by 50% for the first two weeks. However, wins will still grant the full 100% RR reward.

As for the midseason rank reset, players can expect a smaller drop in rank after completing placements. Additionally, the maximum placement rank has been increased to Ascendant 3.

Bug fixes

General

Fixed a bug with all Vulnerables/Fragiles where the visual effects could linger on a target longer than the gameplay debuff duration. Fixed a bug where destructible deployables like Tejo’s Stealth Drone and Fade’s Prowlers could keep teleporter doors open on Bind
