VALORANT Patch 12.02 goes live on Feb. 4, 2026, globally. Exact time and server downtime depend on the server location.

VALORANT Patch Notes 12.02

Harbor and Reyna's tweaks are the biggest changes of this patch. As a matter of fact, they are the majority of the changes.

Harbor buffs

Harbor could use a little bit more power compared to other Controllers. We’re looking to increase the baseline power of his abilities as well as increase the amount of options Harbor has whether that is in Cove uptime, High Tide coverage, or Reckoning placement. We want players to feel confident about the strategies Harbor can offer through his abilities.

— Dev note

  • Cove
    • Cooldown decreased 40s >> 30s
    • Smoke duration increased from 15s >>> 19.25s
    • Health increased from 500 to 625
    • Harbor now re-equips his gun faster after activating Cove
  • Storm Surge
    • Storm Surge now plays audio in world if enemies are hit
  • High Tide
    • Wall height increases from 6m >> 8m
    • Max wall length increased from 50m to 60m
  • Reckoning
    • Wave speed increased by 25%
    • Can now re-use the ultimate to stop it in place for 7s.

Expect to see more Harbor in your games, especially if your resident Controller player likes playing aggressively. You should also be aware of the fact that Harbor's timings are now faster with Cove, and that Storm Surge now offers information.

Reyna nerfs

Reyna has been ever present and dominating pickrates in ranked for a long time. We’re looking to increase proactive requirements on Reyna after she gets a kill to encourage continued aggression.

Dev note

  • Soul Orbs (Passive)
    • Duration in world decreased from 4s >> 3s
      • *The ability description had incorrectly listed the duration at 3s, while they were lasting 4s. The duration now accurately matches the description.
  • Devour
    • Overheal applied by Devour is now temporary and lasts 10s
    • Healing applied while in Empress is still permanent
  • Empress
    • Ult points increased 6 >> 7

Will this stop the Reyna smurfs from dominating matches? Probably not. But, she will be easier to kill and will have Empress a little less often, giving the enemy a bit more room to breathe.

Other changes in VALORANT Patch 12.02

The following utilities can now be concussed:

  • Gekko’s Wingman
  • Skye’s Seekers
  • Raze’s Boom Bot

The UI damage indicators will now also appear for objects that take damage while being controlled by a player, like Skye's Trailblazer and Tejo's Stealth Drone.

VALORANT Patch 12.02 fixes a lot of bugs, both PC and Console-specific ones. Check out the official website for all the bugs that were squashed in this update.
