VALORANT is taking more actions against cheaters and players that disrupt games. The goal is to make VALORANT a safer and enjoyable game.

Riot Vanguard is not new for VALORANT players. However, the performance of the anti-cheat has been called too slow by some players. Riot has listened to that and is making a few changes. Disrupting behavior will also be punished more severely.

Riot Vanguard Updates

Only 1% of the VALORANT games had cheaters and the average cheater is caught and consequently banned within six games. However, some players show frustration because the process is too slow to detect and act. Brittany Perez, an Anti-Cheat Analyst for Riot Games, assumes that speeding up the process could make the techniques "too transparent".

To compensate for the delay, Riot will implement ranked rollbacks. If you lose a match because the other team had a cheater - that was banned after that - you will recover your lost RR. Keep using the report mechanisms to help Riot detect and act against cheaters!

Changes in Player Behavior

Abuse in text or voice commons is pretty common on Valorant. Riot team is making an effort to make the game the safest space possible. The penalties had been severed and the restrictions on gameplay were extended to all the game modes, not only Ranked and Premier.

Riot has also unlocked hardware bans for cases that are manually review. It's been made an effort to address the reports faster by staffing support to review a higher volume of repeated offenders. These offenders could have received an notification in the last weeks and their actions will have heavy consequences.

The language barrier is still a problem in comms abuse. After the good performance with beta voice coming evaluation in North America, Riot committed to make this evaluation global until the end of the year. However, it's been hard to analyse this voice comms in other languages. We will have to wait a little bit longer to see that measure being introduced.

That's all for now. Stick around for more esports.gg updates!
